Fused Silica Windows

COE Optics can afford to you UV/ IR/ Low OH serious fused silica substrates, and material can be from Corning, Heraeus, Ohala, GE124/214 or low-cost China JGS1, JGS2 and JGS3. Our precision UV Fused Silica Windows feature laser-grade surface quality and parallelism. In addition, these windows will limit the transmitted wavefront distortion to λ/10.

UV Fused Silica Windows feature low distortion, excellent parallelism, low bulk scattering, and fine surface quality. This makes them perfectly suited for a wide variety of demanding applications, including multiphoton imaging systems, and laser applications.

UV Fused Silica windows can work from 170 to 2100 nm. This non-crystalline, colorless silica glass combines a very low thermal expansion coefficient with good optical qualities and excellent transmittance in the ultraviolet region. Transmission and homogeneity exceed those of crystalline quartz without the problems of orientation and temperature instability inherent in the crystalline form. It will not fluoresce under UV light and is resistant to radiation. For high-energy applications, the extreme purity of fused silica eliminates microscopic defect sites that could lead to laser damage.

Due to fused silica windows' excellent material properties, most clients choose fused silica as their protective windows. i.e, fused silica windows 755/1064nm for Nd: YAG aesthetic machines, laser grade fused silica windows 1070nm for laser cutting systems. IR grade fused silica windows 2940nm for Er: YAG laser systems.
